For years, tokenization on Wall Street has remained mostly conceptual.
Now one of the largest retail financial platforms in the world is building the rails for it ⚡
Robinhood, the Nasdaq-listed trading platform used by millions to access Stocks, ETFs, options, and crypto, has officially launched the public testnet for Robinhood Chain, a financial-grade Ethereum Layer 2 built on Arbitrum and designed for tokenized real-world and digital assets.
This is not an experimental side project. It is infrastructure.
Built with reliability, security, and compliance at its core, Robinhood Chain delivers the infrastructure required to build financial-grade decentralized applications — spanning tokenized assets, lending markets, and perpetual futures — within the Ethereum ecosystem.
With mainnet expected later this year, the testnet marks the first step toward that vision.
To lay the foundation for a robust onchain financial ecosystem, the company is committing $1 million in hackathon prizes across multiple regions to attract serious builders into the ecosystem.
That capital is being deployed through the 2026 Arbitrum Open House program, a structured global initiative that includes online buildathons spanning New York, Dubai, London, and Singapore, alongside exclusive in-person Founder Houses in NYC and London.
At the same time, the public testnet is fully accessible. Developers can connect today, claim testnet assets including Stock Tokens, deploy smart contracts, run a full node, and start experimenting with financial-grade infrastructure ahead of mainnet.
Important to clarify: this is a builder-focused initiative. No native token has been announced, and there is no official points system or airdrop campaign attached to the testnet.

-
Set Up Your Wallet → Add the Robinhood Chain testnet to any EVM-compatible wallet using the auto-add option, or manually configure it with Chain ID 46630 and the official RPC URL. You can also use the Robinhood Wallet app, which natively supports the testnet.
-
Claim Testnet Assets → Visit the official faucet to request 0.05 testnet $ETH and five units of each available Stock Token every 24 hours after completing verification.
-
Build & Operate → Developers can deploy smart contracts using standard Ethereum tooling, run a full node to support network operations, monitor transactions via the Explorer, and report technical issues or vulnerabilities through the official “Report an Issue” section.
💡 Note for non-developers → Register a .hood domain via InfinityName, use OnchainGM to send TXs and collect GM Cards, deploy simple contracts, and mint the Robinhood Badge.
-
Join the $1M Open House Program → Apply to the 2026 Arbitrum Open House program to participate in global buildathons across New York, Dubai, London, and Singapore, as well as Founder Houses in NYC and London, and compete for a share of the $1 million incentive pool allocated to projects building on Robinhood Chain.
